Mighty Oaks Preschool

Mighty Oaks Preschool is my in-home preschool here in Orem, Utah. One of the reasons I love in-home preschool is because it brings the warm, nurturing qualities of home to high quality learning experiences. Through this program, my goal is to help your child grow cognitively, physically, socially and emotionally. Together, we make this possible through child-directed exploration and joyful, imaginative play.

One thing that sets this program apart is my focus on literature and story telling. Each day we have an engaging story time through which we build early literacy skills and foster a love of reading. Then, many of the activities we explore in other content areas -- such as art, math, science and social studies -- will take place within the context of the stories we have read. This creates opportunities for holistic, meaningful learning that really "sinks in."

Just like a little acorn, within your child there is mighty potential. At Mighty Oaks, we grow together.

As an early childhood professional and mother of young children, I believe passionately in the infinite worth and potential of each child.

I hold a Bachelors degree from BYU-Idaho in Child Development, and in May 2021 I will see receive my Master of Education in Curriculum and
Instruction for Early Childhood from Arizona State University. I am also a proud member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

My husband, three little girls and I love going to the library, impromptu dance parties, pizza-filled movie nights and long drives through the mountains.
